SFC Donald D. and COL Robert M. Pelletier, '84, Leadership Scholarship
In April of 2024, COL Robert M. Pelletier, USAR, Ret., ’84, announced to The Citadel Foundation the intention to establish the endowed SFC Donald D. and COL Robert M. Pelletier, ’84, Leadership Scholarship. The primary purpose of the SFC Donald D. and COL Robert M. Pelletier, ’84, Leadership Scholarship is to provide financial resources to support full, two-year scholarships for cadets during both their junior and senior years. Recipients are not to receive any other scholarship support and must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. Qualified candidates shall be out-of-state cadets who intend to enter active duty in any branch of the U.S. military and who are the son or daughter of an active duty or recently retired Marine or Army NCO. Recipients must be U.S. citizens when the scholarship is awarded. Once cadets have received the award for their junior year, they will automatically receive the award for their senior year without the need to reapply, as long as they continue to meet the criteria for the scholarship. In years in which no cadet is eligible for the scholarship, the award shall be returned to the endowment.
