Mary B. Matthews Electrical Engineering Scholarship

In January of 2025, Dr. John H. Matthews announced to The Citadel Foundation the intention to establish the endowed Mary B. Matthews Electrical Engineering Scholarship. The primary purpose of the Mary B. Matthews Electrical Engineering Scholarship is to provide financial resources to support students at The Citadel, with first preference given to female cadet, veteran or active-duty students who are citizens of the United States. First consideration should be given to electrical engineering students and alternatively to computer engineering students. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering will select the recipient with input from the Office of Financial Aid.
