Daniel Fund Scholarship

The Daniel Fund Scholarship was initiated in 1954 as the result of contributions from the two Daniel brothers, Charles E. Daniel, The Citadel Class of 1918, and R. Hugh Daniel, The Citadel Class of 1929. This fund is under complete jurisdiction of the Trustees of the Board of Visitors and can be utilized to support such projects or meet such requirements as are approved by the Trustees. The Daniel Fund has been utilized for such approved purposes as financial assistance to cadets, athletic grants-in-aid, support of the Advisory Committee to The Citadel Board of Visitors, discretionary funds for The Citadel’s president, and cadet scholarships. The first award was made in 1955.
