Max and Helen Berky Memorial Scholarship

The Citadel Scholarship Committee shall, after investing the funds, choose annually a person of the Jewish faith, a citizen of the United States, and from the incoming first year class to receive this scholarship. The income from said fund shall be applied by the college towards the recipient’s first year tuition and fees. Any income remaining after such application following the award of the first year’s annual scholarship, and any awards of subsequent years, will be used for additional new scholarships if qualified applications are selected, but in the event there are none, then such income shall be applied toward any former recipient’s subsequent years tuition and fees. Should any recipient for any reason drop out of this college before exhaustion of his or her scholarship funds as provided herein, The Citadel Scholarship Committee will select an alternative recipient, using the same criteria for the selectee to receive in a like manner any amount then remaining of that specific scholarship.
