Electrical and Computer Engineering Advisory Board Scholarship
In May of 2009, the Electrical and Computer Engineering Advisory Board established a memorandum of Understanding with The Citadel Foundation to establish the Electrical and Computer Engineering Advisory Board Scholarship. The purpose of this project is to raise funds to establish an endowed scholarship to demonstrate the commitment of the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Advisory Board to the Electrical and Computer Engineering students. The overarching intent of the ECE Advisory Board Scholarship is to enhance The Citadel’s Electrical and Computer Engineering Department’s ability to retain students who display promise of becoming outstanding engineers. Scholarship award preferences: The recipient should be a junior or senior ECE major. The recipient can be a cadet, veteran, active duty or CGC student. The ECE faculty will annually recommend awardees to the College Scholarship Committee for review. There are no explicit GPA, need-based or other requirements, but the recipient is expected to be in good academic standing and the faculty be able to justify its nominations in these areas if necessary. The scholarship will be jump started with an annual gift of $1,000 per year until the scholarship is awarding on its own.
