William Darwin McConnell Memorial Scholarship

The William Darwin McConnell Memorial Scholarship was initiated as the result of a bequest from the estate of William Darwin McConnell, The Citadel Class of 1941. Scholarships are available to South Carolina residents who possess attributes in accord with the high standards of The Citadel. Preference is given to cadets who possess the late William Darwin McConnell’s greatest attributes—humor and wit. The first award was made in 1985.
