Lewie G. and Grace M. Merritt Scholarship

The Lewie G. and Grace M. Merritt Scholarship was initiated in 1974 as the result of a bequest from Major General Lewie G. Merritt, The Citadel Class of 1917. The fund is named in honor of General Merritt and his wife. Scholarships are available to cadets who possess attributes in accord with the high standards of The Citadel. The first award was made in 1979.
