Joseph P. Riley Scholarship

The Joseph P. Riley Scholarship was initiated in 1975 as the result of a contribution from Joseph P. Riley, father of Mayor Joseph P. Riley, Jr., who is a Citadel alumnus. The fund is named for the donor, a friend of The Citadel. Scholarships are available to cadets who possess attributes in accord with the high standards of The Citadel and who are from Charleston County, South Carolina. The first award was made in 1976.
