Dr. Lawrence C. Mohr / Huge Foundation Scholarship

In May of 2015, the Harry and Reba Hugh Foundation announced to The Citadel Foundation its intention to establish the Dr. Lawrence C. Mohr / Hugh Foundation Scholarship with a gift of $25,000. The Harry and Reba Huge Foundation is a 501© 3 non-profit providing scholarships and opportunities for student scholars with the drive and potential to be leaders. Through international student and professional exchange and development programs, students, donors, and teachers are afforded the opportunity to expand their views and excel within the classroom and beyond. A distinctive feature of the Huge Scholarships is that recipients not only receive financial support to help cover their educational costs but also unparalleled personal attention, guidance, and mentoring for the Huge Foundation’s leaders and the opportunity to bridge their home culture and experiences with different people and cultures across the United States and the world. The purpose of this non-endowed gift is to provide funds for a qualified in-state student for one year to cover tuition, fees, and room and board at The Citadel. The scholarship recipient will be selected from a pre-qualified pool of top Citadel Scholar Scholarship candidates who express interest in applying for the scholarship. The college’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships administers the scholarship program at The Citadel. Non-endowed scholarships will be awarded on a year-to-year basis when funds are available. Students who are recipients one (1) year are eligible for consideration in subsequent years; however, they must again comply with the selection criteria.
