Class of 1964 Scholarship

In January of 2017, the Class of 1964 announced its intention to revise the criteria for the Class of 1964 Scholarship originally established in July of 2006. The original gift agreement stated that the scholarship would be available to one student; however, the class wishes to revise the agreement so that partial scholarships may be awarded. The purpose of the Class of 1964 Scholarship is to provide funds to support scholarship awards for cadets who possess character in accord with the highest traditions of The Citadel as demonstrated by their actions in their local communities, secondary education, and extra-curricular activities. Recipients should be accepted as freshman at The Citadel and demonstrate financial need. Once enrolled, recipients must maintain a 2.5 grade point average as determined on an annual basis at the end of the second semester of each academic year. Preference will be given to descendants of graduating members of the class of 1964.
