Lieutenant Thomas Holland Evans Memorial Scholarship

The Lieutenant Thomas Holland Evans Memorial Scholarship was initiated in 1968 as the result of contributions by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Evans, who are friends of The Citadel. The fund is named in memory of Lt. Thomas Holland Evans, The Citadel Class of 1968, who lost his life while in service of his country in November 1968. Scholarships are available to incoming freshmen who are U.S. citizens with financial need. Cadets must possess attributes in accord with the high standards of The Citadel. The first award was made in 1969.
