John M. J. Holliday Scholarship

John M. J. Holliday Scholarship was initiated in 1983 as the result of a contribution from John M. J. Holliday, Chairman Emeritus of The Citadel Board of Visitors. The fund is named in honor of the donor, a graduate of The Citadel Class of 1936. Scholarships are available to incoming freshmen with preference to those who are residents the Pee Dee area of South Carolina. Cadets must have demonstrated scholastic ability in high school and be in need of financial aid. The first award was made in 1985.
