Regimental Band Fund for Cadet Retention

In January of 2021, COL Samuel R. Young, USA, Ret., ’69, announced to The Citadel Foundation his intention to establish the non-endowed Regimental Band Fund for Cadet Retention. The primary purpose of the non-endowed Regimental Band Fund for Cadet Retention is to provide financial resources to support cadets who are members of the Regimental Band and Pipes who are experiencing unanticipated financial difficulties such that they are in jeopardy of being unable to remain at The Citadel. Recommendations for awards shall be made by the Director of Music and the Director of the Pipe Band in consultation with the Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships. The final decision regarding recipients of the awards and award disbursement shall be made by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.
