Lewis Martin Sansom Scholarship

The Lewis Martin Sansom Scholarship was initiated in 2001 by Elisabeth S. Sansom and William B. Sansom, The Citadel Class of 1964, and Kathryn Sansom Eggleston in memory of Lewis Martin Sansom, The Citadel Class of 1995, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sansom. The recipient shall reside on a permanent basis in designated counties in Tennessee (Sullivan, Carter, Washington, Hancock, Unicoi, Hawkins, Greene, Cocke, Hamblen, Grainger, Claiborne, Union, Knox, Sevier, Blount, Loudon, Anderson or Roane Counties) or North Carolina (Haywood or Madison Counties), and each recipient shall be a football player for The Citadel. The scholarship may be renewed annually in compliance with NCAA-established academic standards. The first award was made in 2010.
