Capers Evans Wilson Scholarship

The Capers Evans Wilson Scholarship was established in 1996 by the Wilson family and friends of The Citadel in memory of Capers Evans Wilson, who died at the age of fourteen. He was the son of Dr. Thomas G. Wilson, ’69, grandson of Dr. John M. Wilson, ’39, and nephew of John L. Wilson, ’84, Andrew M. Wilson, and Amelia Wilson Craver. Beneficiaries of the scholarship shall be residents of the Pee Dee Area in South Carolina and possess those attributes of ability, character, temperament, and personality that are in accord with the traditionally high standards of The Citadel. The first award was made in 1999.
