Mrs. Linda M. Olson and COL Russell V. Olson, Jr., '69, History Term Scholarship

In October of 2023, COL and Mrs. Russell V. Olson, Jr., ‘69, announced to The Citadel Foundation the intent to establish the non-endowed Mrs. Linda M. Olson and COL Russell V. Olson, Jr., ’69, History Term Scholarship. The primary purpose of the non-endowed Mrs. Linda M. Olson and COL Russell V. Olson, Jr., ’69, History Term Scholarship is to provide financial resources to support one cadet who is majoring in history and who has demonstrated financial need. As long as the recipient continues to qualify, the scholarship shall be awarded for each of the student’s four years at The Citadel. When feasible, an additional preference is that the award go to a cadet who is participating in the Army ROTC program and/or from the Charlotte, North Carolina, area.
