Wayland H. Cato, Jr. - John J. Kerr Endowed Scholarship

In August of 2008, the Wayland H. Cato, Jr. Foundation, Inc. announced to The Citadel Foundation its intention to establish the Wayland H. Cato, Jr. – John J. Kerr Endowed Scholarship fund. The purpose of the endowed fund will be to benefit full and/or part-time undergraduate students who meet the scholarship criteria. The only criteria for scholarship recipients is financial need. Financial need shall expressly include students whose income exceeds government assistance criteria, but who can demonstrate a quantifiable need for assistance. The College Scholarship Committee administers the scholarship program at The Citadel. Endowed scholarships will be awarded on a year-to-year basis. Students who are recipients one (1) year are eligible for consideration in any other year; however, they must again comply with the selection criteria.
