Bernard Gordon Engineering Leadership Funds

In October of 2008, COL Bernard M. Gordon, SCM announced to The Citadel Foundation his intention to fund opportunities that would enhance education and leadership in The Citadel School of Engineering and The Citadel Electrical and Computer Engineering Department with a gift of $1.5 million. $500,000 of this gift established and endowed the Bernard Gordon Electrical Engineering Leadership Scholarship fund, designed to support three (3) electrical engineering students who have demonstrated not only excellence in the classroom but also potential to become leaders in the electrical engineering profession. The College Scholarship Committee administers the scholarship program at The Citadel. Endowed scholarships are awarded on an annual basis in accordance with the gift agreement. Students who are recipients one (1) year are eligible for consideration in any other year; however, they must again comply with the selection criteria.
