Class of 1961 Scholarship

In March 2010, The Class of 1961 initiated their fund-raising effort and established the Class of 1961 Scholarship with a goal of $350,000. Scholarship award preference will be given to a cadet who is in either the School of Humanities or the School of Engineering with demonstrated financial need with first preference given to a descendant from the Class of 1961. The Office of Financial Aid will make every effort to alternate the awards between the School of Engineering and the School of Humanities. The College Scholarship Committee administers the scholarship program at The Citadel. Endowed scholarships will be awarded on a year-to-year basis. Students who are recipients one year are eligible for consideration in any other year; however, they must again comply with the selection criteria.
