Duke Energy Scholarship I

In October of 2012, Duke Energy Foundation announced to The Citadel Foundation its intention to establish the Duke Energy Scholarship I. The purpose of the Duke Energy Scholarship I is to provide scholarship awards to a student from the Duke Energy service area of South Carolina who wishes to pursue a degree in engineering and who demonstrates financial need. The Duke Energy service area includes the following counties: Abbeville, Anderson, Cherokee, Chester, Greenville, Greenwood, Lancaster, Laurens, Newberry, Pickens, Oconee, Spartanburg, Union, and York. The scholarship is available to an incoming freshman with a GPA of 2.5 or higher who shall possess those attributes of ability, character, temperament, and personality that are in accord with the traditionally high standards of The Citadel and will be renewable upon the recommendation of the Dean of The Citadel School of Engineering.
