Greater Pittsburgh Area Citadel Club Scholarship

In November of 2014, The Greater Pittsburgh Area Citadel Club announced to The Citadel Foundation the club’s intention to establish The Greater Pittsburgh Area Citadel Club Scholarship. Club member, Walter A. Bunt, Jr., The Citadel Class of 1969, and his wife, Nancy R. Bunt, graciously volunteered to fully endow the scholarship with the hope of encouraging other club members to follow his example of philanthropy. The primary purpose of this endowment is to provide scholarship funds to support a cadet attending The Citadel who is from western Pennsylvania. In years when no award is made because no eligible recipient from western Pennsylvania is available, the funds will not be spent and will be returned to the endowment. The college’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships administers the scholarship program at The Citadel. Endowed scholarships will be awarded on a year-to-year basis. Students who are cadet recipients one (1) year are eligible for consideration in subsequent years; however, they must again comply with the selection criteria.
