Colonel Bobby "Ricky Bobby" Sandford, USAF, V4V Veterans' Dependents Scholarship

In December of 2020, Virginia for Veterans (V4V), announced to The Citadel Foundation its intention to establish the endowed Colonel Bobby “Ricky Bobby” Sandford, USAF, V4V Veterans’ Dependents Scholarship. The primary purpose of the Colonel Bobby “Ricky Bobby” Sandford, USAF, V4V Veterans’ Dependents Scholarship is to provide funds to support cadets from Virginia who are dependents of veterans, with first preference given to cadets from Virginia who are members of Gold Star families. In years in which no cadets meet the above geographic criteria, the award shall be available to any cadet who is a veteran’s dependent, regardless of geographic location. In years in which no cadet meets the above criteria, the grant amount shall be returned to the endowment.
