Rouse-Wade Scholarship

In November of 2021, Dr. Strutha Charles Rouse, II; Mr. S. Carlton Rouse; and Mr. Preston W. Mitchell, ’74, announced to The Citadel Foundation the intention to establish the endowed Rouse-Wade Scholarship and a companion non-endowed jump start fund. The purpose of the Rouse-Wade Scholarship is to provide financial resources to African American cadets from South Carolina (please note, the greatest preference will be given to cadets in this category). If no African American cadets from South Carolina can be identified, then the gift shall be reserved for minority students of color from other geographic areas.
