Class of 1997 Fallen Heroes Scholarship

In September of 2021, The Citadel Class of 1997 announced to The Citadel Foundation the intention to establish the endowed Class of 1997 Fallen Heroes Scholarship. The primary purpose of the Class of 1997 Fallen Heroes Scholarship is to provide financial resources to support cadets who are descendants of members of The Citadel Class of 1997, with first preference given to legacy cadets who are descendants of members of the class who were killed while serving in one of the branches of the United States military. In years when no qualified candidates meet the legacy criteria, the scholarship shall be available to cadets with demonstrated financial need.
