The Estate of Dr. James M. Hayes, Jr., ’60, has announced to The Citadel Foundation the intent to establish the endowed Mrs. Barbara E. and Dr. James M. Hayes, Jr., ’60, Pre-Med Scholarship. The primary purpose of the Mrs. Barbara E. and Dr. James M. Hayes, Jr., ’60, Pre-Med Scholarship is to provide financial resources to support cadets who are sophomores, juniors, or seniors with demonstrated financial need, and who are planning to pursue a career as a medical doctor regardless of their major. Qualified recipients shall have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and exhibit the high standards of The Citadel.
