Charles B. Harrington, '52, Memorial Scholarship

In November of 2023, Joyce A. Carusi announced to The Citadel Foundation the intention to establish the endowed Charles B. Harrington, ’52, Memorial Scholarship. The primary purpose of the Charles B. Harrington, ’52, Memorial Scholarship is to provide financial resources to support members of the Summerall Guards, with preference given to cadets from the state of Tennessee. In years in which no member of the Summerall Guard meets the geographic preference, the award shall be available to any member of the Summerall Guard. If at some time in the future the Summerall Guard should cease to exist or if no member can be identified who qualifies for the award, the scholarship shall be available to a cadet from the state of Tennessee. In years in which no student meets any of the above criteria, the scholarship shall be available to any member of the Corps of Cadets.
