In December of 2023, the General Society of Colonial Wars announced to The Citadel Foundation the intention to establish the endowed General Society of Colonial Wars, Col Myron C. Harrington, Jr., USMC, Ret., ’60, Scholarship. The primary purpose of the General Society of Colonial Wars, Col Myron C. Harrington, Jr., USMC, Ret., ’60, Scholarship is to provide financial resources to support upperclass cadets who are commissioning into the United States military via the Naval ROTC program at The Citadel. The recipient shall have a cumulative GPA of 3.0; possess demonstrated leadership potential; and have demonstrated financial need.
